TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS: Preparation of Health Impact Assessment report has been approved as per paragraph (b) of Article 32 of the Fifth Development Plan and the resolution dated June 15, 2013 passed by the Supreme Council for Health and Food Security, and also a set of national health standards for major development projects such as wastewater treatment plants have been notified to all executive bodies. In this regard, this project reviews the impact of construction of the above treatment plants on health of the personnel and residents of the project, review of treated wastewater utilization method and the method of sludge disposal in the treatment plants.
The treatment process in all plants is based on A2O with anaerobic digestion of sludge. The project specifications are as follows:
• Parand treatment plant includes four modules and eight flow lines, the liquid effluent part of the module 1 is under operation, the second module is in progress and the other two modules have not been constructed.
• Robat Karim treatment plant comprises two modules and four flow lines, module one is under construction and the other one has not been constructed yet.
• Eslamshahr treatment plant is composed of three modules and six flow lines, module one (a half module is under construction and a half module is under operation), and the other two modules have been constructed yet.
• Baharestan treatment plant is composed of three modules and six flow lines where none of modules has been constructed yet.
